Théodore Robert à La Chaux-de-Fonds, circa 1760. Fine and rare eight day going, hour and half hour striking small ebonised pear-wood Neuchâteloise bracket dock. Moulded rectangular with glazed side panels, three turned bronze finials and handle on the pediment top. Pewter chapter ring with Roman numerals and opter Arabic minute ring. Blued steel pierced hands. Gilt brass matted dial plate. Fine pierced and engraved floral decoration below the dial. Brass rectangular with turned pillars, Going barrels both on the going and the striking train, verge escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a beil with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 30 x 20 x 10 cm., excluding the handle.
