Henri Jacot, Paris, No. 8349, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze, eight day going "Mignonette" carriage dock in original travelling box. Rectangular, glazed four sides and top. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. Brass rectangular with going barrel, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Henri jacot Trade mark on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 75 x 50 x 45 mm., excluding the handle. Notes Along with Margaine and Drocourt, Jacot was among the finest makers of carriage docks in Paris towards the end of the 19th Century.
