Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1800. Very fine and unusual 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set pendant watch designed as an escutcheon with matching key and seal. The navette shaped watch with Split pearl set border is inset within and escutcheon with splitpearl set border, fully decorated with champlevé enamelled musical trophies birds and flowers on a blue translucent enamel ground over engineturning (slightly restored). Small eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds above. Blued steel "spade" hands. Gold shaped dial plate with floral champlevé enamelled decoration over a black ground. Shaped brass three-quarter plate with going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass threearm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. In very good condition. Dim. 57 x 45 mm.
