American School, 19th Century Mountain Waterfall. Unsigned. Oil on canvas laid on paperboard, image size 9 3/4 x 7 1/2 in., framed within an oval format. Condition: Canvas glued to paperboard, lower corners trimmed to accommodate frame format, accretions, surface grime. Composition was originally painted with square lower corners and an arched top. The two lower corners of the canvas were trimmed to accommodate the current oval format.
