Reticulated Silver Basket, bearing spurious marks for London, 1800, oval, the sides pierced and engraved with flowering vines populated by birds, hounds, and musical cherubs, with crabstock handles, rim molded as drapery accented with cherub masks, raised on cast openwork winged cherub mask feet, lg. to handles 11 1/2 in., approx. 33 troy oz. good, with minor age wear, and some rubbing to the cherub masks at rim. marks good (maker's mark slightly double struck, but still legible).
