Joseph Floch (Austrian/American, 1895-1977) River View with Floodgates, probably Paris Signed "Floch" l. r. Oil on canvas, 21 1/4 x 28 1/2 in. (54.0 x 72.5 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, surface grime. Provenance: Acquired from the artist in the early to mid 1950s, then by descent in the family of the current owner. The work might benefit from cleaning. The craquelure is scattered and stable, and includes some small areas of separation, primarily within the greens. There is an illegible inscription on reverse of frame, u.r. corner.
