Henry Ziegler (American, b. 1889) The Comet. Signed "Henry Ziegler" in pencil l.r., titled in pencil l.l., dedicated "To my friend Owen Culbertson from the artist" in pencil l.c. Aquatint on paper, plate size 12 5/8 x 18 5/8 in. (32.0 x 47.3 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Subtle toning, rippling and creasing to image, glue and residue to verso. The sheet measures 14 1/2 x 22 1/4 inches, and has brown paper tape to the upper corners. On the reverse there are scattered areas throughout of glue and residue. This is most prominent in the lower center of the sheet. On the face, there are areas of surface rubs roughly corresponding to the residue on the reverse.
