French Aesthetic Movement Patinated Bronze Figural Center Bowl, third quarter 19th century, formed as a large stylized leaf, engraved to interior with flowering vine with large crabstock handle mounted with leaves, the edge of bowl further mounted with a figure of a songbird, on small crabstock feet, with gold and traces of silver patination throughout, wd. 19 in. Likely patinated with many different colors and remnants remain of silvering but now mostly all lost and down to bronze; uneven color and scattered minor age typical defects.
