George III Silver Three-piece Tea Set, London, 1804, John Emes, maker, ovoid teapot, lidded creamer, and lidded sugar, all with lobe at top of body, bright cut engraved with leaftip, lambrequin, and vine bands, and with vine wreaths, the domed lids with ball finial, teapot with fruitwood handle, creamer and sugar with reeded, angular handles, teapot ht. 6 in., approx. 36 troy oz. creamer and sugar with light, age typical wear to marks from cleaning (still legible). creamer with some loss of crispness of engraving at lobe from cleaning. teapot with area of repair below top of handle. some dings to lobe, and one to body. some wear to cripsness of engraving at lobe. tiny metal tear at tip of spout. handle later. marks good.
