Wedgwood Majolica Egyptian Ink Stand, England, c. 1875, polychrome decorated, the tray modeled as a ship with a griffin's head at the prow and a crocodile's at the stern, set with a covered canopic jar inkpot, sander, and covered jar, each adorned with Egyptian motifs, impressed mark, lg. 12 in. Inside of tray heavily stained with ink. Canopic cover remounted with a replacement collar and with several shallow chips to the underside rim. Jar cover restored and jar with a 1/4" rim chip.
