Alvan Fisher (American, 1792-1863) Watching the Cattle Unsigned, identified on a label from Vose Galleries, Boston, affixed to the backing. Oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in. (61.0 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. Conservation stamped "This painting was treated...Gustav D. Klim...[Klimann]" on the cardboard backing, retouch primarily to u.r. quadrant, spanning an area approx. 8 x 18 in. at extreme height and width. The lining is adhered with wax.
