Charles Whedon Rain (American, 1911-1985) The Sundial Signed "C. Rain" l.r., titled and inscribed "....C. RAIN/JAN 1964/NEW YORK" on the reverse, identified on a label from the Banfer Gallery, New York, and an exhibition label from the Essex County Section National Council of Jewish Women "American Art at Mid Century" affixed to the reverse. Oil on Masonite, 7 7/8 x 10 in. (19.9 x 25.4 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch (including area of signature), fine craquelure.
