Italian Renaissance-style Carved Walnut Cassone, composed of antique elements, rectangular top and case with elaborate battle scene carved to front and flanked by figural stiles, leaftip and fluted base, on ball feet, ht. 24, wd. 59, dp. 21 in. Top with new board to the back edge. 21 inch long shrinkage crack left to right and with right front edge with losses due to worming; moderate worming throughout; case with age typical minor defects; feet later.
