French Empire-style Mahogany Veneered and Ormolu-mounted Lamp Base, late 19th/early 20th century, of columnar form, mounted to base with figures of classical maidens, on winged paw feet, with ovoid colorless cut glass font, electrified, ht. to top of font approx. 29 in. Chips to corners of top of column and middle of column; heavy wear to gilt collar just underneath top; some pitting and minor discoloration to metal mounts.
