Continental Neoclassical Mahogany, Verre Eglomise, and Painted Hall Mirror, second quarter 19th century, cresting painted with flowerheads above a parcel-gilt panel depicting a studious cherub, over two painted and gilded glass panels centered by a rectangular mirror plate, labeled to reverse "A. G. Breitenstein, collector and repairer of Antique Furniture...Providence, R.I.," ht. 36, wd. 16 1/2 in. Moderate to heavy flaking to lower eglomise panel; lighter flaking to upper panel; else very good with only minor, age typical defects.
