George III Crossbanded Mahogany Pembroke Table, c. 1790, bowfronted top with D-shaped drop-leaves above a frieze drawer to one end and a sham drawer to the other, on square, tapered legs ending in cuffed feet, ht. 29 1/2, wd. open 38 3/8, dp. 34 3/4 in. Very good timber; approx. 2 1/2 inches of veneer loss to edge of table, a 2 inch piece off but present; 6 inches of missing stringing; shrinkage crack to one leaf near joint; one drawer pull off but present; age typical additional minor defects.
