Georg Jensen Undertray and Lid Sterling silver Denmark, c. 1924 Crosshatched finial with petal decoration surrounding, missing insert probably glass, undertray has four lobes with pattern repeated at intersection of lobes, inscription on bottom; makers mark Georg Jensen in a beaded oval, no. 403, and Gi 925S in a beaded oval, lid rim dents, some wear, total wt. approx. 6 troy oz., tray dia. 5 1/2, lid 4 in. Provenance: Descended in the estate of a Cambridge, Massachusetts, and New York City academic family.
