Franz F. Ziegler (German/American, 1869-1934) The Jesse H. Metcalf Trophy /A Presentation Plaque Signed and dated "F. Ziegler '26" within the cast l.l., stamped "GORHAM CO. FOUNDERS" within the cast l.r. Bronze bas-relief, 14 3/4 x 10 1/2 in., mounted to a wooden panel. Condition: Wear to the patina. Note: The artist was a designer and silversmith for Gorham Co. in Providence, Rhode Island, until his retirement in 1932.
