Early Georgian Mahogany and Parcel-gilt Bureau Bookcase, 18th century, with broken pediment cresting above a pair of glazed doors with shelved interior, above a pair of candle slides and a slant lid enclosing an interior of fluted drawers, pigeonholes and other; lower case with three short and three long drawers, on bracket feet, ht. 93, wd. 41 1/4, dp. 23 in Shrinkage to upper edges of both doors and crack to left side of cornice; slant lid with shrinkage and loss piece of veneer along upper right edge; shrinkage and slight waviness to both sides in lower section; six veneer chips along left edge; good color and timber; age typical additional minor defects.
