George III Silver-mounted Coconut Shell Goblet, London, 1820, maker likely William Stevenson, the egg-shaped shell carved overall with dense flowering vines, mounted with silver rim, and shield engraved with a crest, on trumpet foot, ht. 5 3/4 in. old repairs to edge of footrim. possible spots of adhesive at join of foot and cup. old shrinkage cracks at cocoanut at top rim, with a small area of related loss visible to interior at rim. marks good.
