Monumental Whiting Manufacturing Co. Sterling Art Nouveau Floor Vase, early 20th century, with tapering body, heavily cast at upper rim with flowering flag iris, tapering to foot with lobed cartouches with reticulated diapered cartouches, and with ogee acanthus edge and scrolled toes, ht. 25 1/8 in., approx. 154 troy oz. Provenance: By repute, this impressive vase was given to the family of the consignor by President and Mrs. Grover Cleveland. The Cleveland's had received it as a gift on the occasion of their silver anniversary. with engraved retailer's name Berry & Whitmore Co. to underside of foot. Good condition, with a few light, unobstrusive dings. monogrammed.
