William & Mary/Queen Anne Caned and Carved Beechwood Armchair, early 18th century, with double-arched cresting above a serpentine back and scrolling arms, trapezoidal seat and cabriole legs ending in hoof feet, seat ht. 17 in. Both front seat corners cracked; back area of caning to seat splitting; small losses to caning upper left and lower left of backrest and along the inner edge of the right side; age typical losses, dents and defects.
