Pop (George Overbury) Hart (American, 1868-1933) Mr. Borg in His Garden /An Algerian Landscape Signed, inscribed and dated "Hart/Bousaada 1930" l.r., titled l.l., identified on labels from the Downtown Gallery, New York, and The Cleveland Museum of Art, on the reverse. Watercolor and graphite on paper, sheet size 19 x 25 1/8 in. (48.3 x 63.8 cm), framed. Condition: Laid onto mat board, tack holes to sheet, small restored tears to left margin, restored paper loss to l.l. corner, subtle toning. Exhibitions: Eighth Exhibition of Water Colors and Pastels, The Cleveland Museum of Art, November 6-December 7, 1930. Restored tears to left margin approx. 1/2 in. length, restored paper loss to left corner approx. 2 x 1/2 in.
