Brass and Steel Fusee Engine, Switzerland, 19th century, a large example of this type of tool, with wood turning handle, pivoting cutter and ferrule, gnurled thumbscrews for tightening and adjusting, and an indexed steel plate for setting the cutter lead, on modern wood base, ht. 9 1/2, lg. 14 1/4 in.
