Four Brass and Steel Watchmaker's Depthing Tools, Switzerland, 19th century, two boxed, with side-mounted thumbscrews to tighten the runners; the other two with top-mounted thumbscrews, all with bent steel spring for fixing rigidity, (one tool missing a runner and one missing the screw which adjusts depth), lg. 3 1/2-4 in.
