French Goldwashed . 950 Silver Chalice and Paten, late 19th century, bell-shaped bowl applied with a trefoil band over three roundels engraved with Christ, Mary, and a saint, the stem with flattened knop applied with faceted purple pasts, on trumpet foot with three further engraved roundels, and the busts of three archangels, ht. 9 3/4, the round paten engraved in Latin and applied with roundel of the Last Supper, dia. 5 3/4 in., approx. 31 troy oz. paten with wear to goldwash, nicks to edge, and light central compression. cup with a few dings to interior, usage wear to goldwash, and chipping to the pastes.
