Three American Coin Silver Stag Head Open Salts, second quarter 19th century, boat-shaped, mounted at ends with a stag head, on oval foot, a pair with floral chased rims, unmarked, monogrammed, lg. 5 1/8, and a single example with gadrooned rims and indistinct maker's mark, not monogrammed, lg. 4 7/8 in., approx. 8 troy oz. the unmonogrammed example with small ding, and light compression to one side of foot.the pair with light bends to edge of footrim, and one showing very slight compression on to foot. all with minor age wear and minor interior surface scratching from use.
