Meissen Porcelain Figural Compote and Stand, Germany, late 19th century, polychrome enameled and gilded, the two-handled reticulated basket with applied flowers supported atop a freeform pedestal adorned with flowers, the base surrounded by cherubs representing the four seasons, ht. 17 1/2; mounted on a raised square base with applied flowers to scrolled feet, ht. 4 5/8 in. Numerous chips to flower petals; old and discolored repairs to legs and feet of one putti, toe of another putti; minor scattered losses throughout. First quality mark. Base with heavy chipping to flower petals.
