William Thwaites (American, ac. 1854-1871) Westmoreland . Inscribed and titled "Westmoreland...W.H.T... W.H.Thwaites no. 11..." on the mount, titled and inscribed on the front of the mat. Watercolor on paper, sheet size 4 1/4 x 6 11/16 in., framed. Condition: Toning, mounted to lightweight paper backing in each corner. N.B. Biographical material about the artist is affixed to the frame backing. Westmoreland is located in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire.
