Chelsea Keramic Art Works Vase Experimental glazed earthenware Chelsea, Massachusetts, 1875-89 Experimental crackle glaze with oxblood mottling on vasiform vase with CKAW cipher on base, ht. 7 3/4 in. Note: Chelsea Keramic Art Works created some wonderful experimental pottery pieces. This vase is influenced by the oxblood glazes of the Far East, in combination with the crackle glaze that became so popular later in the Dedham pottery line of wares.
