Henry Hammond Ahl (American, 1869-1953) Autumn Woods Signed "Ahl" l. l., with a label from Richard Nichols, Boston, affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 14 x 17 3/4 in. (35.6 x 45.1 cm), in a period frame. Condition: Lifting, retouch, craquelure. Varnish stains through craquelure to the reverse, two areas of retouch to l.r. quadrant measuring approximately 1/2 x 1/2 in. each, areas of lifting to l.l. quadrant spanning an area of approximately 1 1/2 x 3 in.
