Pair of American Victorian Laminated Rosewood Side Chairs, after J. H. Belter, the Henry Clay Pattern, with fruit and flower crest above upholstered back and seat, on cabriole legs ending in wheeled casters, seat ht. 17 in. Note: These were featured in the 1999 exhibit Chairs of Choice at the New Bedford Museum of Art. Scattered loss to veneers (particularly to the seat rail of one chair). Usage wear. Subtle cracking to veneers beneath crest. Water damage to left side of one back rest. Wear to backs. Unmarked.
