Pair of French Hand-painted Faience Wall Plaques, 19th century, each with rococo cresting, cartouche filled with a heraldic device, and painted with a scene after William Hogarth (English, 1697-1764), An Election - Canvassing for Votes and Marriage-a-la-Mode - The Breakfast Scene , unsigned, each marked Lille 1767 on the reverse, ht. 15 1/8, wd. 12 3/8 in. Chip to one corner of "Marriage-a-la-mode," not visible from front. Same plaque with several scratches to enamel painting.
