French Carved Ivory, Sapphire-set, and Gold-mounted Snuff Box, 19th century, round, carved overall with scrolling vines, and collet-set with trefoil clusters of small round blue sapphires, with gold rim mounts, dia. 2 1/8 in. losses to nine of the small blue cabochons (three of the trefoil clusters), with small crack to body below two of the empty trefoil clusters. three smaller hairline cracks from rim, each approx. 1/4" long.
