Emile Albert Gruppé (American, 1896-1978) Autumn Scene, Probably Woodstock, New York Signed "Emile A. Gruppé" l.r., inscribed "Emile A. Gruppé 138 Manhattan Ave." on the reverse, probably in the artist's hand. Oil on canvas, 27 x 23 in. (68.6 x 58.4 cm), in a probable Newcomb-Macklin period frame.
