Parker Newton (American, d. 1928) Off Tompkinsville at the Staten Island Anchorage Signed "Parker Newton" l.l., titled on the reverse, with a canvas stencil from Winsor & Newton's, London, on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in. (61.0 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, very minor retouch. Minor retouch to sky u.r., with small lines perhaps to cover a small abrasion. Craquelure more pronounced to u.r. corner; otherwise generally very subtle craquelure seen primarily under raking light.
