Henry Mosler (Franco/American, 1841-1920) Hide and Seek Signed and dated "Henry Mosler '97" l. r. Oil on canvas, 12 1/4 x 9 in. (31.1 x 22.9 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, minor retouch, minor surface grime. Outside dimensions of frame are 17 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches. Retouch, if any, is very minor and appears to be confined to a few brush strokes in the dark green pigment at the center lower edge and to a small area of dark pigment to the left of the haystack This may actually be natural pigment fluorescence. Scattered minute paint losses to u.l. corner. Areas of thin paint application with canvas texture visible in u.l. and l.r. quadrants.
