Provenance: Estate of Jonas Aarons, New York. Very minor surface dust. Due to the coarse weave of the canvas, "whitish" spots in the two black areas of the composition are representations of raking light across the canvas and not skinning. The canvas appears to be taut on the stretchers; heaviest areas of impasto to the u.l. and l.r. quadrants; no additional condition issues to report.
