Marc Chagall (French/Russian, 1887-1985) Two Images from the DESSINS POUR LA BIBLE Series, text by Gaston Bachelard: Adam et Eve chassés du Paradis terrestre and Rachel dérobe les Idoles de son Père , 1960, published by Verve, volume X, numbers 37-38 (Mourlot, 237 & 242; Cramer 42). Unsigned, both with lithographs on verso. Color lithographs on paper, sight sizes 13 1/2 x 10 in. (34.2 x 25.4 cm), framed. Condition: Possible subtle toning, not examined out of frames. The toning seems very minor. Although they have not been removed from their frames, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
