Pair of Gilt metal Vases and an Archaic style Vase, Japan, 19/20th century, tall elongated shape with gilt and shakudo decoration of birds and flowering branches, elephant lugs, base with five feet, ht. 14 5/8 in.; China, 20th century, of baluster shape, taotie decoration, ht. 11 in. Tiny chip on the base rim to the archaic style vase, the pair of vases in good condition with no evidence of chips, cracks, or repairs.
