Large Framed Memorial Silhouette of a Young Girl, Whately, Franklin County, Massachusetts, c. 1830, depicting "Ruth Dickenson Sanderson/Died Aug. 12, 1830," life-size hollow-cut bust-length silhouette, the girl's hair enhanced with watercolor, over an ink inscribed verse to her memory, (toning, foxing, small losses on lower edge), sight size 14 1/2 x 9 3/4 in. Note: Ruth Dickenson Sanderson was born April 29, 1829 to Asa and Naomi Sanderson, who resided in Whately, Massachusetts.
