Three Painted and Stenciled Wooden Window Valances, America, 19th century, scrolled top with gilt moldings decorated with stenciled center basket with fruit, flower, and lyre motifs, in gilt, red, and black on a green ground, (losses and restoration to scrollwork, spotting, scattered retouch, and paint loss), ht. 7 5/8, lg. 41 1/4 in. Two scroll tips have been replaced and matched with paint and gilt, one has been reglued, scattered retouch on all three plaques, the most being one flower repainted.
