George III Mahogany and Satinwood-inlaid Bureau Bookcase, England, third quarter 18th century, the molded and crossbanded cornice over mullioned glass doors enclosing shelved interior, the lower section with inlaid fall-front writing surface fitted with compartments and drawers with ivory pulls, over three long graduated drawers on splayed bracket feet, approx. ht. 78, wd. 36 1/2, dp. 19 1/8 in. Left front leg re-glued. Scattered lifting to cockbeading, including left side of lower section. Scattered loss to veneers and some veneers reglued. Brasses original. Feet likely original.
