Rococo-style Bronze-mounted Kingwood and Tulipwood-inlaid Marquetry Commode, France, probably 18th century, with serpentine marble top over conforming case fitted with two long drawers and shaped apron, all decorated with flowering vines, ht. 33 5/8, wd. 48 1/2, dp. 25 in. Dry veneer is cracking and lifting in some areas. Loss to molding on drawer fronts. Marble has some surface abrasions consistent with usage.
