Etruscan Bucchero Ware Oinochoe, c. 550 B.C.E., with trefoil mouth and strap handle framed by rotellae molded with animal faces, cylindrical neck with raised bands, shoulders with raised tongues, and body with frieze of six molded sphinxes walking to right, on flared foot, ht. 14 1/8 in. Large section of loss to mouth and handle. Scattered loss to sphinxes and body. No repairs.
