Fine Six-piece Early Tiffany & Co. Sterling Tea and Coffee Service, New York, 1854-69, monogrammed, comprised of pear-shaped coffeepot and round teapot, creamer, sugar, waste bowl, and kettle on stand, all with acid-etched abstract floral and strapwork designs to top halves of bodies bordered by chased crenellated band at waist, with berry finials on acid-etched lids and fleur-de-lis-accented spouts to coffeepot, teapot, and kettle, with ivory heat stops to handles, the kettle with foliate swing handle on stand with four foliate-accented horse legs with hoof feet, with burner, kettle on stand ht. 15, coffeepot ht. 9 1/2, approx. 164.5 troy oz.; sold together with a heavy two-handled silver-plated serving tray, monogrammed, with two concentric bands of stylized scrolls and a Greek key design, beaded rim, and foliate and C-scroll handles, tray lg. 32 in. All of the pieces have the same monogram "SMT." Kettle has a series of shallow surface dents and pin-prick to bottom register, hinged lid is also missing the pin. Coffee pot has several shallow dents to bottom register. Tea pot and covered sugar has a couple of small dents to bottom register, and the teapot also has a small dent to the handle. Creamer has slight indentation to handle. The waste bowl has a couple of pin-prick dents. The kettle, teapot, and coffee pot finials are slightly off kilter.
