Marion Huse (American, 1896-1967) Arroyo Seco . Signed "Marion Huse" l.r. Oil on paper, 16 x 21 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Loss and small tear to l.l. corner, nicks and wear to edges and corners, toning, glue and paper residue to the reverse. Provenance: By descent in the artist's family to the Fuller Museum of Art (Gift of the artist's husband, Dr. Robert Barstow), Brockton, Massachusetts, to the New Britain Museum of American Art. N.B. Although the work is not dated, it is known to be part of a group of works on paper done in 1937 when the artist made a trip to New Mexico. Marked with Brockton Art Museum inventory number 2101.
