Mahogany Lyre Clock by Skinner & Seward, 63 Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1832, painted iron dial with Roman numerals and marked Skinner & Seward , flat and beveled frames enclose figured mahogany panels, molded pedestal and eight-day brass weight powered movement with iron weight and brass faced pendulum bob, ht. 41 in. Skinner & Seward, Boston are listed in Paul J. Foley, Willard's Patent Timepieces , p. 310. No significant restoration or replacements, dial in undisturbed condition, two wooden weight guides added in upper section of throat, waist section attachment screws relocated.
