American Officer's Fowler, Benjamin Strong, c. 1760-80, 45 1/4-inch two-stage barrel with rounded front section and octagonal breech engraved with foliate motifs and inlaid with brass, brass and steel furniture including brass sideplate engraved with maker's name "Benjamin Strong," engraved brass trigger guard, turned brass ramrod pipes, walnut stock with raised shell carving around the tang, wooden ramrod. Benjamin Strong is likely the owner not the maker.
