Steel Tanto or Short Sword, Japan, with very slightly curved 12 1/4 inch steel blade, thread-wrapped grip, the red-banded scabbard conceals a smaller engraved knife with 4 1/4-inch blade and cloisonne handle showing a rabbit, all in an embroidered cloth case. there is an element from the scabbard meant for holding a strap that fell off but has been retained, rust to pommel and other metal mounts, blade with minor imperfections.
